I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps with the conviction that I was stepping into a brotherhood—one that protected its own, forged warriors, and upheld its responsibilities to those who gave their all.

But reality, as it turned out, was far darker than the ideal.

Boot camp. The crucible. The transformation. They break you down and build you back up, molding you into a machine that doesn’t hesitate, doesn’t question, doesn’t falter. And for a time, I bought in. I pushed through exhaustion, pain, and every challenge thrown my way, proving that I could stand among the elite.

Yet behind the discipline and structure, I began to see the cracks in the foundation.

The system wasn’t designed to protect warriors—it was designed to use them, then discard them when they became inconvenient.

I witnessed leadership that cared more about optics than integrity. I saw Marines suffer injuries, physical and mental, only to be cast aside like broken tools, ignored or gaslit when they sought help.

And then, it happened to me.

The Fall: Negligence, Injury, and the Abandonment of Duty

Injury in the military isn’t just a physical burden—it’s a liability to the institution. When I sustained injuries, I expected medical care, rehabilitation, and a path to recovery. Instead, I was met with denial, neglect, and systemic gaslighting.

I was thrown into bureaucratic limbo, my condition questioned, my suffering dismissed. They didn’t want a solution—they wanted the problem to disappear.

The ones who were supposed to have my back turned their backs.

They rushed my discharge. They covered their tracks. They made sure that once I was out, my voice wouldn’t matter.

But they underestimated me.

I tore through every legal document, every policy, every precedent. I studied their own rules, finding the contradictions, the loopholes, the blatant violations. I armed myself, not with a rifle this time, but with knowledge, strategy, and the fire of righteous fury.

And now, I am taking the fight directly to them.
